Lately, I have been super busy – my senior year is quickly nearing the end, graduation is looming around the corner, and college prepping is in full swing. It has been a busy season for the whole family. While I have been swamped with school, theatre, and Young Life, Hudson, my younger brother, has had a never ending streak of basketball games, and my mom and dad have been doing everything in their power to spend quality time with their kiddos while we are all still together – CRAZY! Something even crazier is that I just recently took my senior pictures; I decided to share a few of them with y’all. Of course, my favorite was the picture of Mom and me. In the midst of the camera shooting rapid fire, it began to hit me that senior year is filled with lots of lasts. Sometimes I can’t help but be sad when I think about leaving my friends, leaving my family, and leaving my home, but I remind myself to have faith. I am hopeful that this upcoming change simply means something great is coming to an end to make way for something even better. I can’t wait to start the next chapter of my unwritten story in new settings with new characters embarking on new adventures. My story is going to continue to unfold every day, sometimes with conflicts, sometimes with resolutions, but I can’t wait to see what life throws my way. Even though a new page will turn, I will never forget my forever home, and all of the wonderful people who have helped give my story life and made it worth living.
P.S. Don’t worry! Our blog will continue next year SOMEWAY, SOMEHOW – even though Mom and I will be 805 miles away from each other! :’)
