Since it has basically been spring all winter long this year, I have had the itch earlier than normal, to get outside and dig in the dirt. I have shared here before that I luv gardening and beautiful outdoor spaces. I recently came across these pictures from House & Garden UK of an old cement factory turned home. I was mesmerized by this enchanting castle of a home. Take a look for yourself. It looks like something that only exists in fairytales.
You can read the entire story and see all the images here. I personally think this secret garden looks magical. I think I was especially drawn to these photos because I have had a luv affair with ivy since last summer. I luv ivy clad buildings, steps, and arbors. Ivy adds charm, character, texture, and depth to otherwise boring structures.

So, this luv affair led to me plant fig ivy in my front flower bed in hopes that sometime in the near future, I might have ivy covered brick on the front of my home.
It may take a bazillion years, but hoping one day the front of my house might look something like this.

I luv how ivy can add interest to the front of an otherwise ordinary home. I’ll keep you posted on my ivy adventure. For now, I am just enjoying my bougainvillea plant!
Happy spring and happy gardening!
